*Award Winning* (haha) Poet at Work

I know not why, I'm left with a high.
Was it just me? Or was it the coffee...
whose enchanting taste, led me to her smoldering gaze.
The beguiling fragrance lingers,
and my heart still teeters.
Alas, no more misty glances,
all that's left are missed chances.
As the aroma dissipates,
my sight of her, too, evaporates...

I'm not sure how it all started,
you said it didn't mattered.
Since you stepped into my heart,
I knew we could never be apart.

How I wish to cuddle you every night,
and never keep you out of my sight.
If only this dream could come true,
then my days would not be so blue.

With a smile so warm, like a cuppa so strong;
And a touch so gentle, as we kiss and huddle;
Tis' one common love, undoubtedly divine;
with two destinies, truly intertwined...

I'm not sure how our story would end,
but we'll hold on forever, till then.
Should we lose our way and go astray,
Let our faiths keep us together, come what may...

At break of dawn where sleepy daffodils bloom,
I hear a song which chases away my gloom.
Its melodious tune reminicises the sweetness of spring,
o, what tremulous joys with which it bring!

As summer beckons with its sunny gaze,
we lock arms in a tender embrace.
Waltzing through meadows on hot, cloudless days,
o, this is more than one could crave!

Then comes the rain and chilly months,
where autumn leaves of red join us in our dance.
Amid swirling dust and violet skies,
I have but only you in my eyes.

As a sea of white descend upon our lives,
I thank you for this little dance, so delightful and nice.
You are the song of my life,
the very reason for which I thrive.

May we live to waltz once more, dear partner;
as we snuggle up close together this December.
Just like the mocha, you used to brew;
whose warmth from afar, we always knew...
